To rest in the Unknown literally means that your mind knows absolutely nothing about how to get you to your goal. It means that you’ve stopped looking toward the mind to tell you how, when, and where. By absolutely ceasing to become, you stop. This stopping is effortless. It comes out of wisdom. Adyashanti in The Impact of Awakening
The mind is a tool we’ve been given to function in life. It’s amazing and brilliant, just as all creation is. But you wouldn’t ask a hammer, how do I frame a house? Same with the mind. It’s has no answers on the nature of reality. If you ask the mind, Who Am I?, any answer it comes up with is false. You might as well start where you’ll end up: I don’t know. Then be still in the silence of who you really are. The answer will be clear.
