“Whatever you may think or feel about yourself has nothing to do with you whatsoever. So you just keep being what you are – which is nothing.” Adyashanti in Emptiness Dancing
The dreams you have while sleeping are no more real than the dream you’re in while awake. And the waking dream has no more control than your sleeping dream. All a figment of imagination.
Just as you wake each morning and all sleep dreams end, you can wake up and step out of the dream called “me”. I really don’t have better words than those here from Adyashanti:
“Step out of the dream of who you think you are. Step out of the dream of everything you have ever known. Step out of the dream of being a deluded person. Stop telling yourself those lies and dreaming those dreams. Step out of all of that. You can do it. Nothing is holding you back. There are no requirements and no prerequisites to awaken. There is nothing to be done, nothing to think, nowhere to go. Just stop all dreaming. Stop all doing. Just stop and be still. Effortlessly be still. Grace will do the rest.”
