“Allow yourself the great gift of not looking for some alternate experience. Without thinking about it, without movement of a single thought, what is it that experiences this? What is it that experiences?” Adyashanti in Emptiness Dancing
Even my autocorrect is starting to recognize the word sequence Emptiness Dancing. If you’ve noticed it too, you’re not imagining things. It’s the book I’m currently reading and it’s full of gems pointing to the Truth of who we really are. The words themselves are not the Truth, as Ultimate Reality can never be described, but good pointers in the right direction nonetheless.
I’ve been on those same two pages pictured above for a couple weeks now. If every word is highlighted, was highlighting even necessary? As I read slowly, I breath deeper, close my eyes, pause, letting it speak to the silence within. Trying not to analyze the words with the mind but let them flow through the quiet space that already knows. Truth only speaks to itself in silence because the mind will never know its wisdom. So, how does Truth speak to itself? Be still and know…that there’s really nothing to know.
And as with anything, there’s no need to rush.
